Job summary

MetAntz in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India is seeking an Embedded Firmware Developer to design new features for AI-powered home security cameras. You will work in C/C++ on embedded Linux, improving performance, memory usage, and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate codecs (H.264/265, AAC, Opus), WebRTC/RTSP streaming, REST/TLS/MQTT services, and cloud storage. Prior experience with libffmpeg and Git is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of embedded firmware experience, incl. 2+ years on embedded Linux.
• Proficiency in C and C++ and solid CPU architecture knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of audio/video codecs (H.264/265, AAC, Opus, G711).
• Experience with WebRTC and RTSP protocols for media transmission.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, TLS, and MQTT security and communication.
• Proficient with open-source libraries libcurl, libwebsocket, libffmpeg.
• Experience with cloud storage services such as Amazon Cloud Storage, B2.
• Understanding of network cameras operation and root cause analysis.
• Linux resource usage profiling and embedded system simulation.
• Git version control proficiency.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with at least 2 years working with embedded Linux
• Proficiency in C, C++ programming, and strong knowledge of computer architectures
• In-depth understanding of audio and video codec principles, familiarity with encoding formats like H.264, H.265, AAC, Opus, G711, etc.
• Familiarity with audio and video transmission protocols such as WebRTC and RTSP
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, TLS, and MQTT
• Experience with open-source libraries such as libcurl, libwebsocket, libffmpeg
• Familiarity with cloud storage services like Amazon Cloud Storage, B2 Cloud Storage
• Understanding of how network cameras operate, with the ability to perform root cause analysis across different components of the platform
