Job summary

ADCI - Karnataka, in partnership with Amazon, seeks a Finance Analyst to support VAT accounting (Indirect Tax) within the FOAA framework in Bengaluru. The role covers month-end close, GL reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and collaboration with auditors to ensure compliance and efficient financial reporting.

The incumbent will contribute to process improvements, VAT returns, and potential automation initiatives with tech partners.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
• Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Close month, reconciling sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts; produce reports and balance sheet analysis.
• Perform Flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts; explain changes to stakeholders.
• Apply accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues and consult leadership for resolution.
• Maintain financial controls and drive process improvements.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns with sub-ledger reports.
• Coordinate with auditors on audit queries and ensure smooth audits.
• Ensure GRC compliance and align improvements with stakeholders.
• Lead new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.
• Identify process improvements and partner with Tech for automation solutions.

FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our VAT Accounting team (Indirect Tax).

Key Roles And Responsibilities Are

• Review/perform the month end activities which include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis.
• Review/perform month end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts and share with Stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for the changes.
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply this in-depth knowledge, principles and systems design to recognize complex and unique issues and develop resolution and/or consistently consult with leadership in order to achieve resolution
• Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place, documented and also work on process improvements.
• Responsible for reviewing/preparing Balance sheet reconciliations (reconciliations with VAT Tax returns/sub-ledger reports) and highlighting and taking necessary action upon the issues appropriately.
• Interact and working closely with the auditors on audit related queries and ensure smooth completion of the audits.
• Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control and get the alignment of improvements/changes with the Stakeholder.
• Lead and support new business/system launches including UAT of the accounting entries and financial reporting.
• Identification of process improvement opportunity and partnering with Tech Partners for automation/system solution.

Basic Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
