Description

Amazon is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner with AMXL – our rapidly expanding package operation, purpose-built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers. AMXL is a fast-growing network, and this is a great opportunity for a Finance Analyst to learn about operations and contribute significantly.

The successful candidate will be analytical, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage finances of a high-growth business, engage with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and identify/cross leverage best practices across the network.

Key job responsibilities

• Responsible for all weekly and monthly financial close activities, support the AMXL Finance leader in planning, forecasting, and reporting models, and oversee their continuous innovation and communication to operations and other business partners.
• Develop and maintain key reporting metrics.
• Work with corporate and local accounting teams to ensure consistent global recording and reporting of financials.
• Partner with teams to drive cost reduction and optimal cross-functional decisions that maximize Amazon's long-term free cash flow.
• Collaborate with procurement to drive YoY cost optimization through vendor negotiations.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 4+ years applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 4+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• 4+ years leading initiatives to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• MBA or CPA qualification.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
