F4F is a Hybrid Social Enterprise working to protect and increase India’s biodiverse forest cover in close collaboration with rural communities. Founded in December 2019, F4F is one of the few organizations in India working in the forestry sector and using a payment-for-ecosystem services model for its environmental protection and restoration activities.

Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, physical execution, and completion of a Thermal Comfort Park project (developing green spaces) in Nagpur. The Project Manager will oversee site operations, microclimate/shade infrastructure installations, plantation work, landscape integration, vendor management, and on-ground team coordination in Nagpur's local climate conditions.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Leadership: Direct day-to-day operations, civil/landscape execution, and technical installations at the project site in Nagpur.

Planning & Scheduling: Develop baseline schedules, resource plans, and work timelines to deliver the project on budget and schedule.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage contractors, local agencies, landscape architects, suppliers, and field labor.

Team Supervision: Directly lead, mentor, and monitor the 2 Field Associates assigned to the site.

Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all civil, thermal mitigation (e.g., shade structures, cooling systems, green cover), and safety protocols meet project specifications.

Progress Documentation & Reporting: Deliver and document regular progress updates, budget tracking reports, and site risk evaluations to project stakeholders.

Requirements
Key Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Forestry, Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Design

Experience: Minimum 4-5 years in managing civil, plantation work, urban development, park design, microclimate mitigation, or infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar), contract management, and site layout execution.

Location Constraint: Must be based in or willing to relocate immediately to Nagpur, with a strong preference for candidates comfortable managing outdoor site operations under extreme temperature conditions.

Compensation & Work Conditions

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience, range - 7 to 8.5 lakh pa

Work Hours: Standard site operating hours; requires flexibility during intensive execution phases.
