Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Field Clinical Specialist to enable safe adoption of PASCAL therapies. The role involves procedural support, clinical education, therapy development and customer engagement within cath lab teams and hospitals.

You will lead on-site implants, provide real-time guidance, and coordinate one-on-one training sessions across multiple technologies. Strong imaging knowledge and teaching ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in echocardiography, nursing or related field.
• RDCS or equivalent certification preferred (e.g., RN/BSN/MSN, PA-C, CV Sonography).
• Experience in structural heart devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, real-time guidance during clinical implants and complex cases.
• Deliver clinical education and training to physicians, hospital staff and cath lab teams.
• Support therapy adoption by coordinating imaging, troubleshooting and case coverage.
• Collaborate with product teams to feedback device iterations and 교육 needs.

The Senior Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) is the clinical expert responsible for enabling safe and successful adoption of PASCAL therapies by partnering with physicians, cath lab teams and hospitals. The role combines procedural support, clinical education, therapy development and customer engagement.

Job Description

Applies professional expertise and judgment to support field clinical specialist (TMTT) activities and business outcomes. Delivers clinical education and operational expertise by providing post-commercial education and training support within a specific modality or product portfolio to clinical end-users.

What you will make an impact:

• Act as a lead on all aspects within the therapy including imaging, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the Cath Lab
• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to investigational products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on two or more technologies or one highly specialized technology
• Provide on-site, real-time guidance during clinical implants, including contingency planning to address unforeseen occurrences in support of assigned clinical investigations during complex clinical trial cases
• Identify key components for a strategic plan of action and propose recommendations to sales reps and managers within respective territory
• Document procedural case observations for learning and training updates.
• Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback and recommend solutions on device iterations and new device development
• Identify and train select hospital staff members to act as designated expert on EW products
• Other incidental duties

What you will need (Required):

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Associate's or technical certification (e.g., echocardiography, nursing)
• 7 years’ experience of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience and

Experience as clinical specialist imaging/echocardiographer with TEE or CT experience

or

Experience In Structural Heart Devices Preferred

• Other: certification in RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) within ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent certification (e.g., Nursing (RN/BSN/MSN), Physician Assistant (PA-C), CV Sonography (RDCS/RDS), Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/CVT/RTR/RCES/CST/RCES/CST) Preferred

• Good imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.)
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation
• Strong diplomacy, influencing and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs and KOLs
• Substantial knowledge in cardiovascular science and valvular heart disease processes
• Substantial understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business
• Substantial knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Successful completion of Field Training Program and deemed certified in case management and 3 Mensio management and 150 cases as a primary FCS
• Must be Certified Field Trainer who has successfully mentored employees through the TMTT Field Training Program or "In-house Mentor" spending 3-5 days per quarter either with the Marketing team or Physician Sales Training team to collaborate on content ideas and marketing messaging.
• Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on projects
• Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations while understanding implications of work and interdependencies with stakeholders
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence
