Qualifications

• Ph.D. in CS/Applications/AI/ML/Data Science or cybersecurity preferred or mandatory as per norms.
• Master’s degree (M.Tech) in a relevant discipline.
• NET/SET/SLET preferred where applicable.
• 12-15+ years of academic/teaching experience with at least 5 years in leadership.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong HOD to lead the academic delivery of BCA in AI & ML and BCA in Data Science & Cybersecurity programmes.

The candidate must be capable of teaching advanced subjects as well as managing faculty, curriculum, projects, research, and industry activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the AI/ML, Data Science & Cybersecurity department.
• Plan faculty allocation, academic schedules and syllabus completion.
• Teach subjects such as AI, ML, Deep Learning, Generative AI, NLP, Data Science and Python.
• Have working knowledge of Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, Cloud Security and Network Security.
• Guide faculty members and monitor teaching quality.
• Supervise student projects, internships and dissertations.
• Develop industry-oriented practical training and projects.
• Promote research, publications and industry collaboration.
• Monitor student performance and placement readiness.
• Ensure academic documentation, assessment and quality standards.

Educational Qualification

• Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Applications / AI / ML / Data Science / Cybersecurity or allied discipline - Preferred/Mandatory as per institutional norms.
• Master's degree such as M.Tech equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• NET/SET/SLET preferred where applicable.

Experience

• 12-15+ years of academic/teaching experience.
• Minimum 5 years in an academic leadership role such as HOD, Programme Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, Associate Professor or equivalent.

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in AI/ML, Python, Data Science, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI and MLOps, with working knowledge of Cybersecurity and related technologies.

Exposure to TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, Tableau, Power BI, Hadoop, Spark and LangChain will be preferred. The required breadth reflects the two programmes' emphasis on AI/ML, practical tools, research and cybersecurity.

Preferred Profile

A Ph.D.-qualified senior academic professional with strong AI/ML expertise, research experience, industry exposure and proven HOD/academic leadership experience.

Ideal combination: Ph.D. + 12-15+ years' experience + HOD/academic leadership experience + strong AI/ML/Data Science expertise + Cybersecurity knowledge.
