You will coordinate with sales, manufacturing, service/installation, estimation, clients, and consultants to ensure timely, quality outputs, mentor junior engineers, and strengthen project delivery capabilities.

Ethos People Advisory is hiring for a Senior Façade Design Engineer role in Bangalore for a technically strong design professional who can convert architectural intent into buildable façade solutions. The position supports projects from concept through construction, with a focus on design quality, delivery discipline, and coordination across sales, manufacturing, service/installation, purchase, estimation, clients, and consultants. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can manage day-to-day work with proper planning, maintain information flow, and deliver on time and in full. The ideal candidate will understand façade systems, material behavior, compliance requirements, and project execution needs, while also mentoring junior team members to strengthen team capability and project outcomes.

About the Role

This role owns façade design delivery from concept through IFC, ensuring drawings, details, and technical submissions are accurate, compliant, and aligned to project intent. The engineer translates architectural ideas into feasible façade systems and supports seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. Success depends on disciplined planning, fast issue resolution, and consistent delivery against deadlines. The role also contributes to team capability by guiding junior engineers and improving technical output quality across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Own façade design development from concept to IFC stage, ensuring the final solution is technically feasible, compliant, and aligned with approved architectural intent.
• Deliver system drawings, shop drawings, fabrication details, and optional sketches on time, with strong attention to completeness, clarity, and design quality.
• Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, service/installation, purchase, and estimation teams to maintain information flow and support project execution.
• Prepare and review MOMs, technical submittals, RFIs, and compliance reports to reduce rework and keep approvals moving smoothly.
• Support fabrication and site execution with practical design inputs that improve constructability, installation readiness, and issue resolution.
• Interpret client requirements and project specifications accurately, then convert them into detailed façade solutions that meet international standards and internal expectations.
• Mentor junior team members and align individual output with organizational priorities, strengthening delivery capability and consistency across the team.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Strong command of façade systems, including unitized, semi-unitized, stick systems, skylights, canopies, and special structures, with the ability to apply the right system to the project need.
• Proven capability in concept-to-IFC design development, system detailing, fabrication detailing, and installation methodology for façade projects.
• Deep understanding of material behavior across glass, aluminium, steel, stone, ACP, and GRC, with practical awareness of performance and constructability implications.
• Working knowledge of ASTM, AAMA, and IS codes, with the ability to apply standards during design development and compliance review.
• Strong skills in coordinating technical information across stakeholders, maintaining documentation discipline, and producing reliable outputs under pressure.

Additional Plus

• Experience handling façade projects with direct exposure to client and consultant coordination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure without losing design quality.
• Immediate to 30 days notice period preferred.
