Job summary

PhonePe Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Executive for Technology Risk & Compliance to perform IT audits, assess controls, and contribute to risk management across financial systems. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust governance and regulatory alignment.

You will test IT controls, assist risk assessments, and coordinate with teams to deliver high-quality audit artifacts. Prior experience in IT audits and familiarity with SOX/COBIT will be valuable.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MTech/MCA/BCA and 2–4 years of related work experience.
• Experience in IT audits of financial sector applications.
• Familiarity with IT regulations and benchmarks (SOX, COBIT, SSAE18/ISAE 3402).
• Experience in OS/DB/Network reviews.
• Knowledge of Risk Management and Governance Frameworks.
• Experience with multiple ERP systems.
• Strong communication, project management, and presentation skills; team player.
• Preferred Certifications – CISA.

Responsibilities

• Test IT Application Controls, IPE, and Interface Controls via code reviews and IT General Controls review including Change, Access, Backup, Incident/Problem, SDLC, Data Migration, Batch Job scheduling/monitoring, and BC/DR.
• Prepare Risk Assessments and document Controls in Risk & Control Matrix.
• Conduct IT audits walkthroughs and controls testing.
• Plan and execute SOX, Internal, External Audits and Management Testing.
• Prepare/Review Policies, Procedures, SOPs.
• Maintain relationships with management and the Engagement Manager to manage expectations and deliverables.
• Demonstrate understanding of complex information systems and assess impacts on work.
• Coordinate with Engagement Manager and team to plan engagement and develop workpapers/deliverables.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform testing of IT Application Controls, IPE, and Interface Controls through code reviews, IT General Controls review covering areas such as Change Management, Access Management, Backup Management, Incident and Problem Management, SDLC, Data Migration, Batch Job scheduling/monitoring and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Assist in preparation of Risk Assessment, identification, and Evaluation of Controls, prepare process flow diagrams and document the same in Risk & Control Matrix.
• Perform business process walkthrough and controls testing for IT Audits.
• Performing planning and executing audits, including - SOX, Internal Audits, External Audits, Management Testing
• Prepare/Review of Policies, Procedures, SOPs
• Maintain relationships with management and the Manager to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and evaluate impacts on the work to be performed.
• Coordinate effectively and efficiently with the Engagement manager and the management keeping both constantly updated regarding project’s progress. Collaborate with other members of the team to plan the engagement and develop relevant workpapers/deliverables.

Role Requirements

• BE / Btech /MTech/ MCA/ BCA and approximately 2-4 years of related work experience; or a master’s or MBA degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering
• Experience in performing IT audits of financial sector applications
• Good to have knowledge of other IT regulations, standards and benchmarks used by the IT industry (e.g. SOX, COBIT, SSAE18/ISAE 3402 etc.)
• Experience in carrying out OS/DB/Network reviews
• Exposure to Risk Management and Governance Frameworks/ Systems will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to multiple ERP systems will be added advantage
• Experience in performing technical code reviews (understanding code logic based on business requirement) Strong project management, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
• A team player
• Strong self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance, and professionalism
