Job summary

Sudit K Parekh & Co. LLP in Mumbai (Lower Parel) invites a Senior Executive to join the statutory audit team. You will independently execute assignments, apply audit methodology, and coordinate with cross-service teams while interacting with clients and overseas counterparts.

The role requires 2–3 years post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant, with strong English communication and familiarity with Indian GAAP, Ind AS, and SA standards.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 1-3 years post qualification experience.
• Expert knowledge of business processes, accounting, reporting and audit methodology.
• Expert knowledge and application of accounting standards and SAs under Indian GAAP.
• Awareness of IFRS and other GAAPs as may be required for the group reporting for various entities.
• Exposure to ERP environment (Tally, SAP, JDE).

Responsibilities

• Execute statutory audit assignments independently.
• Good technical knowledge for execution of assignments.
• Learn and apply firm methodology.
• Communicate with clients and overseas counterparts as required.
• Coordinate with SKP cross-service teams (IDT, Tax, C Law, TP).
• Own client relations including CSS, billing, and recovery.
• Flexibly work on non-standard assurance engagements.
• Travel across all locations.
• Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in accounting and auditing frameworks (AS, Ind AS, SAs).
• Apply GAAP knowledge in practical scenarios.
• Maintain quality control standards per ICAI.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execution of statutory audit assignments independently

• Working knowledge of applicable GAAP requirements and ability to interpret and apply them in practical scenarios.
• Familiarity with quality control standards, including SQC 1, and overall compliance requirements prescribed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• Keen interest in tracking and interpreting regulatory updates, with the ability to assess their impact on audit and accounting practices.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured reports, memos, and communications
