Job summary

Molex in India seeks an experienced Purchase Executive to support procurement of materials from approved suppliers while balancing cost, quality, and delivery. You will collaborate across purchasing, planning, logistics, and supplier networks to support growth and customer satisfaction.

You will maintain SAP-based data, drive supplier performance, and participate in Lean initiatives to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of purchasing, supply planning, scheduling, or procurement in manufacturing.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and material flow in a complex supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliable delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive corrective actions and improvements.
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to meet production and customer requirements.
• Monitor material availability and delivery schedules to support uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain procurement and material-master data in SAP and MRP systems.
• Collaborate with logistics to track shipments and support customs clearance for imports.
• Partner with customer service to resolve order-related challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist forecasting and supply planning with sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce slow-moving or obsolete inventory and optimize stock.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials and products from approved suppliers while balancing cost, quality, and delivery objectives. You will collaborate across purchasing, planning, logistics, customer service, and supplier networks to support business growth and customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Team

You will be part of a dynamic Supply Chain organization that works closely with manufacturing, logistics, customer service, sales, and supplier partners. The team is focused on creating value through effective sourcing strategies, inventory optimization, supplier development, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, quality performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Evaluate supplier performance and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to meet changing production and customer requirements.
• Monitor material availability and delivery schedules to support uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain accurate procurement, planning, and material-master data within SAP and MRP systems.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to track shipments and support customs clearance activities for imported materials.
• Partner with customer service teams to resolve order-related challenges and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Support forecasting and supply planning activities by working closely with sales, marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor inventory health and drive actions to reduce slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
• Assist with supplier claims, invoice discrepancies, and material-related issue resolution.
• Analyze purchasing and material-management data to identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements.
• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain effectiveness.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply planning, scheduling, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and coordinating material flow in a complex supply chain.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
• Experience using ERP systems for purchasing and material planning activities.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience working with SAP, particularly within MM and SD modules.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and support business decision-making.
• Demonstrated negotiation, influencing, and supplier-development skills.
