Job summary

Asian Paints Limited is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations at the Gujarat Dahej facility. The role focuses on safe, efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and timely product dispatch.

The successful candidate will coordinate with maintenance, QA, EHS, and planning teams to implement process improvements and ensure targets are met while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervising manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and quality work.
• Handling high pressure reactors, distillation columns, catalytic reactors, and related plants.
• Ensure production targets meet specifications as per planning.
• Coordinate with engineers to improve production, costs, and labor efficiency.
• Diagnose production issues and provide corrective recommendations and training.
• Establish and enforce safety procedures and minimize carbon footprint.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and share with team.
• Coordinate with RM, dispatch, QA and EHS teams to ensure timely product dispatch.

• Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
• Hands on operational experience on handing high pressure reactors, continuous distillation columns, catalytic reactors, process gas compressors scrubbers etc. continuous as well as batch plants
• To ensure production of required quantity of each product as per the specification given by the Planning team
• Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
• Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
• Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize the carbon footprint.
• Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
• Any operational Issues need to be coordinated with the maintenance team and should be resolved by following all safety protocols like Permit system.
• Liasoning with RM team, dispatch team, QA and EHS team
• Ensure timely Product dispatch along with quality requirements
• Exposer to management of change.
• Should have basic trouble shooting skills for correcting any process deviations during the shift to ensure the required quality & quantity of the Product.
• Drawing up production as per schedules & budgets.
• Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
• Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
• Obtaining any materials and equipment required.
• Leading for the PSSR, pre-commissioning & commissioning activities supporting for the project requirement-based activities.
• Responsible for all the manufacturing facilities in the plant during the shift operations.
• Comply Organization EHS policy on site
• Supporting team for maintaining PSM site requirements.
• Daily DCS trend analyses and reporting
• Daily production report, monthly production report and annual report development and communication
• Raw material planning
• System Documentation development based on requirement.
• Manpower management, scheduling and maintaining shifts manpower requirements.
• Performing SAP and MES work based on daily and monthly requirements and generating data based on requirement
• Meeting the Monthly Production Targets without compromising the SOPS, Quality & EHS norms.
