Job summary

Aliaxis is seeking a packaging material buyer to manage inventory, ensure material quality with QA, and prevent stockouts across locations. You will drive supplier negotiations, contract finalization, and new vendor development to optimize supply chain performance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong analytical skills, and focus on packaging sustainability projects within a global process.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical with 3–4 years’ experience in operations / sales in FIBC industry.
• Good communication skills.
• Travel as per the company requirement.

Responsibilities

• Manage optimum inventory levels of packaging material at all locations.
• Manage and finalize required quality of packaging material with QA dept.
• Ensure no stock out of any packaging material at any site.
• Resolve packaging related complaints from customers by appropriately taking up with suppliers.
• Negotiate with Packaging suppliers and finalize long term contracts.
• New vendor development.
• Savings project in Packaging Sustainability related initiatives in packaging domain.

The role of packaging material buyer involves significant team and cross functional interaction, developing sourcing strategy for packaging material, Risk analysis and mitigation planning, Strong negotiation skills, understanding of quality parameters in packaging material, etc. Should have strong analytical skills and should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize supply chain efficiency.
