Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Executive to provide day-to-day IT and end user support, with a primary focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) administration and Microsoft 365 operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience troubleshooting user, device, and access issues, and a proactive approach to resolving Help Desk tickets within SLA timelines. This role supports senior IT staff across infrastructure, security, and compliance tasks while building toward broader ownership as they grow in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end user IT support, handling Help Desk tickets, VIP/executive support requests, and escalations within defined SLA timelines, while maintaining accurate ticket tracking and status updates.
- Provide day-to-day administration and troubleshooting support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) — session host issues, user profile (FSLogix) problems, connectivity/latency complaints, and application access within the VDI environment.
- Support Microsoft 365 tenant operations: user/mailbox management, license assignment, Microsoft 365 Groups, and basic troubleshooting of Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive issues for end users.
- Assist with device provisioning and lifecycle using Windows Autopilot and Microsoft Intune — enrollment, app deployment, compliance policy checks, and resolving device-level access/security issues.
- Apply and verify security fundamentals for end users — MFA setup/troubleshooting, Conditional Access-related access issues, and guiding users on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) or Sensitivity Label prompts.
- Monitor and respond to Microsoft 365 and VDI service health alerts, escalating tenant-wide or infrastructure-level issues to senior admins and coordinating with Microsoft support when required.
- Support IT asset management tasks — inventory tracking, allocation to new hires, retrieval/disposal coordination, and maintaining accurate asset records.
- Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes, including account provisioning, VDI/M365 access setup, and device handover.
- Document recurring issues, known errors, and resolution steps to build/maintain a knowledge base for the Help Desk team.
- Support system backup checks and basic disaster recovery tasks as directed by senior IT staff.
- Assist in configuring and enforcing Conditional Access Policies, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) under guidance from senior admins, ensuring end users comply with secure access requirements.
- Support day-to-day management of Microsoft 365 Admin Center settings (domains, org profile, group policies) under senior oversight, flagging any anomalies for review.
- Assist with configuration and monitoring of Defender for Office 365, DLP, and Retention Policies — running basic checks, generating reports, and escalating policy violations or flagged incidents.
- Support periodic audits of administrative roles and RBAC assignments, helping ensure least-privilege access is maintained across the tenant.
- Assist in managing enterprise application permissions and access issues, coordinating with senior admins for configuration changes.
- Support network infrastructure monitoring tasks (uptime checks.
