Job summary

Zimyo is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Executive to join its Finance team in Gurgaon. You will manage revenue and billing operations, ensure Ind AS 115 compliance, and maintain Tally records.

The role focuses on process improvements, financial reporting, GST/TDS compliance, and collaboration with Sales and Customer Success to ensure accurate billing and records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven organisation.
• Working knowledge of Tally and accounting principles.
• Understanding of subscription-based revenue models and Ind AS 115.
• Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, e-invoicing, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• SaaS Revenue Recognition and Billing: Manage subscription-based revenue recognition aligned with Ind AS 115 and track revenue, renewals, cancellations, and billing data.
• Accounting and Financial Management: Record daily transactions, reconcile ledgers, and assist in PM/LS reporting.
• Taxation and Statutory Compliance: Manage GST, TDS, e-invoicing and timely filing of returns and statutory reports.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare periodic financial and management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Systems, Automation and Process Improvement: Maintain data in finance systems, generate dashboards, and automate recurring finance activities.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Executive to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting, SaaS revenue recognition, subscription billing, and statutory compliance. The role involves managing revenue and billing operations, maintaining accurate financial records in Tally, ensuring tax compliance, and improving finance processes through reporting and automation.

Experience in a SaaS or technology-driven company will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

SaaS Revenue Recognition and Billing

• Manage subscription-based revenue recognition in line with applicable accounting principles, including Ind AS 115
• Track subscription revenue, renewals, cancellations, and customer billing data
• Manage billing and invoicing cycles through internal subscription management tools and ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Reconcile subscription revenue with customer contracts, billing records, and accounting entries
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success teams to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain accurate customer records

Accounting and Financial Management

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records in Tally
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, journals, and other financial accounts
• Assist in preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards

Taxation and Statutory Compliance

• Manage GST, TDS, e-invoicing, and other applicable statutory compliance requirements
• Prepare and support timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and statutory reports
• Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining supporting documents, reconciliations, and schedules
• Track changes in taxation laws and regulatory requirements relevant to the business

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare periodic financial and management reports to support business decisions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Monitor revenue performance and key financial metrics
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, improved profitability, and greater operational efficiency

Systems, Automation and Process Improvement

• Maintain accurate financial and customer-related data in internal finance and subscription management systems
• Generate reports and dashboards to monitor billing, revenue, and financial performance
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring finance activities and improve reconciliation and reporting processes
• Support improvements in the integration of internal systems with accounting records
