JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, and reporting all project activities related to pharmaceutical facility expansion, modernization, utility systems, manufacturing areas, laboratories, warehouses, and infrastructure projects. Ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with GMP, regulatory, and company standards.
Experience:
• 5 to 7 Years of experience in relevant field in Pharmaceutical Industry
• Experiences on Primavera platform & MS Projects
• Excellent communication skills, strong collaborator, problem solving, interdepartmental coordination, team leadership.
Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical (preferred)/ Electrical
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning
• Develop comprehensive project execution plans for Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Establish project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent planning tools.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for project requirements and resource planning.
• Develop project baseline schedules and execution strategies.
2. Project Scheduling
• Prepare master schedules, detailed schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery schedules.
• Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks.
• Track engineering, procurement, construction, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules and manpower histograms.
• Monitor contractor schedules and ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Optimize project sequencing to minimize operational disruptions in Brownfield projects
3. Project Monitoring & Control
• Track project progress against approved baselines.
• Measure Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
• Analyze schedule variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
• Conduct delay analysis and develop mitigation/recovery plans.
• Monitor project KPIs and milestone achievements.
4. Brownfield Project Management
• Plan shutdown activities with minimal impact on production.
• Coordinate tie-ins and modifications to existing process, utility, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Develop phased execution strategies to maintain business continuity.
• Assess project risks associated with operational areas.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, QA, QC, EHS, and maintenance teams.
• Manage contractor activities in live GMP environments.
5. Greenfield Project Management
• Manage planning activities from concept to commercial production.
• Coordinate engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones.
6. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
• Develop project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Track commitments, PO status, invoices, and project financials.
• Prepare cost variance analysis and forecast project completion costs.
• Support CAPEX planning and budget approvals.
• Identify project risks and opportunities.
• Maintain project risk register.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Monitor critical project constraints and dependencies.
• Review contractor schedules and progress reports.
• Monitor engineering consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure contractor productivity and milestone compliance.
• Participate in technical and progress review meetings.
• Verify progress for billing certification.
