Role Title

Senior Executive – Design – Women’s Ethnic Wear

Role Summary

To support the design and development of the Women’s Ethnic Wear range by translating fashion trends, customer insights, and brand direction into commercially viable collections. The role is responsible for executing seasonal designs, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring timely delivery of trend‑right and value‑led ethnic wear ranges.

Key Responsibilities

Range Creation & Development

• Design and develop seasonal ranges for Women’s Ethnic Wear as per the buying calendar.
• Create trend-relevant, value-focused designs aligned to Easybuy’s brand positioning.
• Support range presentation preparation, including seasonal stories, concepts, and mood boards.
• Apply Easybuy-approved color palettes across categories to ensure brand coherence.
• Balance core ethnic styles with seasonal newness to ensure continuity and freshness.
• Execute sample development including lab dips, color cuttings, print strike-offs, embroidery, trims, and embellishments.
• Support fit sessions and PP approvals in coordination with Buying & Sourcing teams.
• Prepare accurate tech packs and ensure design intent is maintained during production.

Trend Research & Market Awareness

• Conduct regular trend research through local markets, exhibitions, online platforms, and global reports.
• Translate trends into silhouettes, prints, color stories, and ethnic styling relevant to the Easybuy customer.
• Track competitor assortments and pricing to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Use retail feedback and bestseller analysis to refine design direction.

Execution & Analysis

• Evaluate commercial feasibility of designs with respect to cost, fabric availability, and production capabilities.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, fit, and functionality standards.
• Track sampling progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
• Contribute ideas for process improvement and design innovation within the ethnic category.
• Work closely with Buying, Planning, Sourcing, and Quality teams for timely range execution.
• Coordinate with vendors to clarify design details and ensure accurate execution.
• Maintain effective communication to support seamless handover from design to production.
