Job description

We are looking forward to a suitable candidate for the position of Senior Equity Research Analyst- Special Situation Desk.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive equity research on companies within various sectors, analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors to identify investment opportunities and risks.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate company performance, assess valuations, and project future earnings and cash flows.
• Generate in-depth investment reports, including investment theses, competitive analysis, and SWOT analysis, providing clear and concise investment recommendations.
• Monitor and track existing investments, regularly updating investment theses based on company-specific and market-related developments.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other members of the investment team to provide research-driven insights and contribute to the overall investment process.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of investment research processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Background:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Equity Research Analyst on buyside/sellside
• Proven expertise in analyzing companies across multiple sectors, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics and trends.
• Demonstrated track record of generating alpha and making successful investment recommendations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a track record of building complex financial models and conducting detailed financial statement analysis, equity valuations and investment analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and research findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
