Rippling is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact platform engineering team in Bengaluru, India. This role is critical for managing infrastructure and product foundations that drive the company's offerings.
The ideal candidate will have extensive engineering experience, leading teams, and ensuring systems scale effectively. A commitment to operational excellence, mentoring engineers, and clear communication will be essential to success in this role.
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact platform engineering team responsible for core infrastructure and product foundations used across Rippling. This role owns multiple horizontal charters, including Data Deletion, Webscripts, Internationalisation, and Rippling Config Service. These systems sit at the intersection of platform scalability, developer productivity, compliance, configuration management, and customer-facing product quality. The ideal candidate is a strong engineering leader who can operate across ambiguous problem spaces, partner deeply with product and infrastructure teams, and build durable systems that scale with Rippling’s product surface.
This team builds foundational systems that many Rippling products depend on. The role requires someone who can think like a platform owner: creating leverage for other teams, reducing duplication, improving reliability, and ensuring that core systems continue to scale as Rippling grows across products, countries, and customer segments.
You are a hands‑on engineering leader who enjoys operating at both technical and organizational levels. You can dive into architecture when needed, but your real strength is creating clarity, building strong teams, and helping engineers deliver high-quality systems in complex environments.
Rippling is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, veteran or military status, or any other legally protected characteristics. Rippling highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. For office-based employees (employees who live within a defined radius of a Rippling office), Rippling considers working in the office, at least three days a week under current policy, to be an essential function of the employee's role.
