Job summary

Jacobs is looking for a Senior Engineering Application Development professional for Cloud & Automation to design and deliver cloud-based automation systems. You will architect backend services, connect enterprise tools like Revit and AutoCAD, and build scalable cloud-native solutions across global delivery centers.

You will leverage C#/.NET, REST APIs, and Azure to deploy, containerize workloads with WPF/NET MAUI desktop tooling, and implement secure, scalable data architectures while ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience with C#/.NET and building REST APIs/backend services.
• Exposure to engineering tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Speckle.
• Develop native desktop tools using WPF or .NET MAUI.
• Hands-on Azure experience (App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Functions).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of API security and secure coding practices.
• Ability to debug integrations and work with monitoring/logging tools.

Your impact

As a Senior Engineering Application Development for Cloud & Automation, you will design and deliver cloud‑based automation systems that streamline engineering workflows, connect disparate platforms, and support high‑impact digital transformation across Jacobs. You will play a key role in architecting backend services, integrating enterprise and engineering systems, and building scalable cloud‑native tools that enable teams across global delivery centers.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Strong experience with C#/.NET
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services
• Exposure to engineering tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Speckle
• Develop native desktop tools using WPF or .NET MAUI.
• Hands‑on Azure experience (App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Functions)
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL)

Nice to Have

• Hands‑on experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Exposure to Terraform or other IaC tools
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Service Bus, Event Grid)
• Experience with NoSQL technologies (MongoDB/Redis)
• Experience with ETL or data‑processing workflows
