Job summary

Oceaneering International is a global leader in engineered services for offshore energy. We seek a Lead Design by Analysis Engineer to guide complex analysis projects from our Chandigarh/Pune office.

You will mentor engineers, ensure quality, and interact with multiple business units to deliver robust mechanical solutions. Qualified candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree with 4+ years (or master’s with 2+ years), strong FEA skills, and experience with ASME/DNV/API standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation (Bachelor) in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of industry experience, OR a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years of industry experience.
• Expert level knowledge on use of FEA & calculation.
• Strong knowledge of more than one relevant Mechanical industry codes/standards (e.g.; ASME, DNV, API, AISC etc.)
• Basic knowledge of CAD software used.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and devise engineering solutions using analysis expertise to support bid, execution or failure and remediation studies.
• Define scope of work, plan, allocate resources, ensure execution and timely completion of assignments.
• Mentor other Engineers on design by analysis.
• Execute complex analysis projects.
• Lead multiple projects at the same time, including small cross-functional projects.
• Review work carried out by other analysts, lead design reviews.
• Approve deliveries made by team.
• Ensure compliance to established Quality Management Processes.
• Interact and communicate with business units frequently to understand their requirements.
• Share regular progress updates with business.
• Prepare & conduct technical trainings.
• Guide team members to have them accomplish their performance goals.

Job Description

Lead assignments within design by analysis function. Work independently as well as mentor entry level Engineering analysts. The position will be located at Chandigarh/Pune.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

• Understand business needs and devise engineering solutions using analysis expertise to support bid, execution or failure and remediation studies.

Qualifications

Required
