Job summary

Wind River is seeking an experienced test framework developer to join the Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP) and VxWorks teams. You will develop, implement and certify test environments for safety-critical products used by aerospace, industrial and automotive customers.

You will work with product managers and system architects from requirements to verification, contributing to the test life cycle and advancing world-class system software on architected hardware and software platforms.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in CS/EE is required.
• 5+ years in software development, verification & validation.
• Strong C, C++, Python design patterns.
• Experience with automation tools and OOPS concepts.
• Experience with testing in Agile and CD.

YOUR ROLE

Wind River is seeking an experienced test framework developer to join the Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP) & VxWorks development teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and certification of test environment setup for safety-critical featured products used by our Aerospace, Industrial and Automotive customers. As a team member, you will be involved with all aspects of the development of test framework life cycle, from requirements development to implementation to verification. You will work closely with the product management team and system architects to understand and implement the requested features.

The test support team is responsible for developing test environment and associated tests improving the software eco-system around VxWorks/HVP on platforms like Arm, IA etc. next generation of applications. This contribution helps drive the development of world-class System Software for architected hardware and software platforms.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• Helping to develop a new test framework to support HVP & VxWorks, as well as helping Wind River to grow in its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.


• Experience in firmware and BSP level testing.


• Take initiative to improve features and processes.


• Contribute ideas for product improvements and iterations.


• Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams.

Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success

• 5+ years of experience in Strong Skills in developing test framework using any programming language C/C++/Python etc


• Experience in firmware and BSP testing


• Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Automation Framework Development


• Experience in real-time operating systems such as VxWorks


• Experience in near real-time operating systems such as Linux


• Experience in Hypervisors and Virtual Machines such as Helix Virtualization Platform (HVP)


• Able to identify opportunities for innovation and offer new ideas to improve.


• DO-178C SOI # audit experience

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent


• 5+ years of software development, verification & validation experience


• Strong in C, C++, Python (Design Patterns)


• Good understanding of automation tools, technology landscape, and OOPS concepts


• Experience in testing and automation in agile and continuous delivery models


• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to develop test cases based on high level requirements, low level requirements and test strategies possessing knowledge of input test variations


• Excellent analytical and debugging skills


• Good experience in developing testing automation framework / Test Manager


• Experience in google/py test framework


• Strong experience in using LDRA, Polarian, DOORS, Git, Jira, Linux environment.


• Experience in scripting language e.g., Python


• Successfully delivered to NA & EMEA customers
