Job summary

Wind River is seeking a Member of Technical Staff – Engineering Sys Cert Office to plan and drive certified software projects for VxWorks and Helix platforms. You will work with architects, technologists, PMs, and remote teams to deliver safety-critical capabilities with strong user experience.

This role emphasizes rigorous process execution, compliance with IEC/DO-178C family standards, and collaboration across global teams to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software, system or product safety process definition.
• Product or process development experience in aerospace, industrial, medical or automotive industries.
• Expertise in IEC 61508, DO-178C, or IEC 62304.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with lifecycle management tools such as Polarion, Jama or DOORS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with safety, process or quality audits.
• Experience working with certification organizations.

YOUR ROLE

As a Member of Technical Staff – Engineering Sys Cert Office, you will work with a skilled team to plan and drive execution of projects and feature development, following well-defined Agile processes. You will work cross-functionally with Architects, Technologists, Product Managers, remote development teams, and customer-facing teams to deliver capabilities across Wind River’s VxWorks and Helix Virtualization Platform products.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, safety-critical software capabilities with excellent user experience.

How You Will Contribute

  • Git, GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA
• Software engineering experience with the full development lifecycle and processes, Agile and scrum project management tools (e.g. Jira);
• Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, CSPO) are a plus
• Familiarity with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and RTOS development tools
