Job summary

Flex Ltd. in Sriperumbudur is seeking a Senior Engineer – Sourcing to support our teams building great products. You will verify order feasibility, prepare production plans, and monitor execution to meet commitments.

The role involves coordinating with procurement, SCM, and order desks, while driving process improvements and KPI tracking across customer programs. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience, with strong planning and people-management

Responsibilities

• Check the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment) and confirm the order.
• Prepare production plans and input planning data into the company’s integrated system; notify the purchasing group.
• Monitor plan implementation, take necessary actions in case of deviations, and prepare long-term plans and forecasts (MPS, Forecast).
• Monitor system accuracy daily/weekly; review routing, BOM, CFT data, non-consumed demand, and planned WOs.
• Prepare Clean to build reports, check material availability, replan if needed, inform order desk, and trace ECO implementations.
• Monitor stock levels and handle stock differences.
• Prepare management and CFT specific reports and KPI monitoring.
• Provide assistance and replacement to SCM and Order desk within the CFT as needed.
• Advise non-exempt associates on day-to-day customer request priorities.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Engineer – Sourcing located in Sriperumbudur

Typical day looks like

• Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment’s etc.), confirmation of the order.
• Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group.
• Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations Preparation of long-term plans, forecasts (MPS, Forecast).
• Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data /non-consumed demand, planned WO's.
• Preparing of Clean to build reports, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.
• Monitoring of stock level, handling of stock differences.
• Preparing management and CFT specificized reports, monitoring of KPI's.
• Giving assistance, replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
• Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
• Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
• Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs.
• May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
• Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
• Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
• Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers, and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
• Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
• May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling.

Experience and qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.
