S&P Global Market Intelligence in Noida, India is seeking a seasoned Test Engineer (Automation/Dev Testing) to join a cross‑functional team delivering automated and manual tests across UI, data, and API layers.

You will design test plans, build regression suites, log defects, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies while collaborating with teams across the globe to meet delivery deadlines in the financial markets domain.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience testing applications with automation frameworks and solid SDLC/Agile/Scrum experience.
• Hands-on automation/white-box testing using Java or Python, plus API testing (REST, Swagger, JavaScript/Node.js).
• Automation across the testing pyramid (unit, service layer, UI) and strong test design techniques.
• Basic SQL query skills and experience with Git or similar source control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision and delivery focus.
• Collaborates effectively with globally distributed teams.

About the Role:

Test Engineer (Automation / Dev Testing)

The Team:

You will join a cross-functional team building new capabilities for some of the biggest names in the financial industry. This is a hands‑on Dev testing role in the financial domain, working closely with development and product colleagues, including teammates across the globe.

Responsibilities and Impact:

• Build and execute automated and manual tests across UI, data, and API layers, switching between the two as team needs require

• Create, review, and recommend test plans, strategies, and test case documentation

• Identify, build, and run automated regression and smoke suites

• Log and prioritize defects, and report quality status and progress to management

• Take part in Agile ceremonies and release planning, raising quality topics within the team

• Work closely with development and product teams, and with colleagues across the globe, to meet delivery deadlines while gaining exposure to the financial markets domain

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience testing applications with automation frameworks, with a strong understanding of SDLC and hands‑on Agile/Scrum experience

• Hands‑on automation and white‑box testing using Java or Python, plus API testing (REST, Swagger, JavaScript/Node.js)

• Automation across the testing pyramid (unit, service layer, UI) and strong test design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning

• Basic SQL query skills and experience with Git or similar source control

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving skills

• Self‑starter who works independently with minimal supervision and stays focused on delivery

• Collaborates effectively with globally distributed teams

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Automation experience with Selenium or Playwright

• Exposure to AWS and BDD

• Experience with CI tools (GitHub, etc.) and full‑stack testing from database through service layer to UI

• Basic financial market knowledge, especially CDS
