Tally Solutions in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen backend and frontend testing with a focus on automation, Playwright, and AI-powered testing enhancements.

You will design test plans, implement reusable scripts, perform performance checks with JMeter/K6, and bridge product and licensing validations across domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech) or MCA.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience in API, UI, and Desktop application testing.
• Proficient in programming with Python or JavaScript for scripting.
• Prior experience in developing QA automation frameworks and writing reusable automation scripts, with hands-on expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Capable of designing comprehensive test automation strategies and execution plans.
• Exposure to Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) testing.
• Familiarity with tools like JMeter, K6, etc.
• Experience in testing within cloud environments such as AWS, OCI, etc.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools like Jenkins.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Understanding of system architecture, networking, and operating system concepts.
• Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI/ML technologies in testing workflows (e.g., intelligent test case generation, defect prediction, etc).
• Ability to explore and implement AI-powered testing enhancements.
• Ability to create detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation for automation processes.
• Works effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with both technical and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Experienced in functional testing, with a strong focus on designing and executing detailed test plans specifically for backend services of the product.
• Automate tests for functional validation of the components using the existing automation framework.
• Selection or identification of test cases for automation from existing test case documentation.
• Execute test iterations and publish the test report with issue analysis and prioritization.
• Coordinate with the development team to perform root cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis.
• Suggest/Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs.
• Log and document bugs in the tracking system.
• Ensure the automation testing tools are up-to-date and follow the procedures carefully.
• Use a quality measuring matrix to determine the number of issues found in Automation.
• Experience in performance testing good knowledge on performance tools like JMeter/K6.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Acts as abridge between product functionality testing and licensing validation, ensuring end-to-end test coverage across both domains.
• Demonstrates anopenness to adopting AI-powered tools and technologiesto enhance testing efficiency and productivity.
