Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior stress and support engineer to lead project delivery and design management for diverse piping systems. You will collaborate with commercial, project management and engineering leaders to plan, develop and deliver projects, applying stress analyses and codes compliance across international standards.

The role requires a BE with 8-12 years of experience in piping stress, familiarity with Caesar-II, and strong knowledge of ASME B31.3.

Qualifications

• BE with 8-12 years of experience in piping stress and support engineering.
• Experience in stress analysis of piping connected to equipment such as columns, tanks, exchangers, pumps/compressors/reactors.
• Proficient with ASME B31.3 and related codes; familiarity with trunnion and nozzle-load considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery, design management and project management for diverse services.
• Collaborate with commercial, project management and engineering/design leaders to position and win projects.
• Perform stress and support engineering analyses and resolve technical issues.
• Plan and prioritize engineering activities and deliverables; ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Your impact

In this role you will be responsible for project delivery, design management & project management, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.

Here’s what you’ll need

• BE with 8-12 Yrs. experience
• Performs stress and support engineering related activities for assigned project and activity. Conversant with stress analysis of piping connected to various types of equipment like Column, tanks, exchangers, pumps/ compressors/ reactors etc.
• Conversant with requirements like trunnion calculation, flange leakage calculations, qualification of allowable nozzle loads etc.
• Provides resolution of technical issues related to stress and support engineering.
• Prioritization and planning of engineering activities and deliverables.
• Working knowledge of stress analysis tools like Caesar-II
• Exposure to the latest American and European standards and codes.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other relevant codes
