Ericsson is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Packet Core Performance team in Noida, India. You will be the technical backbone for PS Core performance, delivering hands-on support, analysis, and optimization across 5GSA, EPC, VoLTE, and VoWiFi.

Expect proactive role during 24/7 support, with close customer coordination and detailed documentation to ensure top-tier network performance. You will analyze KPI and capacity metrics, drive improvement plans, and participate in acceptance testing

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of packet core performance and support experience.
• Hands-on with vendor-specific packet core nodes (AMF, SMF, SGSN-MME, GGSN, SGW/PGW).

Responsabilidades

• Provide PS Core performance support and technical guidance to customers.
• Design, analyze, and optimize packet core performance across 5GSA, EPC, VoLTE, VoWiFi.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve real-time performance degradation and data spikes.
• Analyze KPIs (ASR, PDP, VoLTE PSR, CSFB, SRVCC, TAU, Bearer SR) and build improvement plans.
• Assess capacity KPIs (SAU, License, Throughput, CPU) and propose optimizations.
• Lead acceptance testing and customer coordination with full technical docs.
• Prepare and present technical analyses and performance reports to customers.
• Engage in troubleshooting during network performance challenges.
• Use tools and traces to identify root causes and bottlenecks.
• Contribute to automation for operational efficiency.

About This Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Packet Core Performance team in Noida, India. In this role, you will be the technical backbone supporting PS Core network performance for our customers. You'll combine deep technical expertise with hands-on delivery to ensure optimal network performance, seamless acceptance testing, and exceptional customer coordination. This position requires a proactive mindset, readiness for 24/7 support, and proven expertise in packet core technologies, 5GSA, IMS/VoLTE, and leading vendor architectures. What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive PS Core performance support and technical guidance to customers


• Design, analyze, and optimize packet core network performance across 5GSA, EPC, VoLTE, and VoWiFi solutions


• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance degradation and data complaint spikes in real-time


• Conduct detailed analysis of packet core performance KPIs (ASR, PDP, VoLTE PSR, CSFB, SRVCC, TAU, Service Req SR, Bearer SR, RAU, X2O, Gx, Gy) and develop improvement plans


• Analyze capacity KPIs (SAU, License, Throughput, CPU) and recommend optimization strategies


• Execute acceptance testing and customer coordination activities with full technical documentation and training support


• Prepare and present comprehensive technical analyses and performance reports to customers


• Participate in troubleshooting initiatives during network performance challenges


• Leverage network tools and trace analysis to identify root causes and performance bottlenecks


• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort

The Skills You Bring

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in packet core network performance and support


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification


• Hands-on, working-level expertise with vendor-specific packet core nodes (AMF, SMF, SGSN-MME, GGSN, SGW/PGW, EPDG, DRA, HSS)


• Product-level knowledge of Ericsson and Nokia architectures (minimum two vendors)


• Advanced understanding of 5GSA, EPC, VoLTE, and VoWiFi solutions with call flow knowledge


• Comprehensive knowledge of packet core surrounding nodes (AMF, SMF, PCRF, AAA, DNS, Charging) and their PM reporting tools


• Expert-level ability to analyze and develop improvement plans for performance and capacity KPIs


• Strong grasp of critical parameters and their impact on packet core and VoLTE network KPIs at counter level


• Proficiency in SIP and Diameter interfaces with error code interpretation


• Advanced skills in using network tools, trace analysis, and data interpretation


• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud concepts; hands-on experience with virtual nodes is a plus


• Knowledge of automation technologies to streamline operations
