Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a skilled engineer for pipeline engineering roles, focusing on the design of offshore pipelines, subsea power cables, and project report presentations. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Structural or Mechanical engineering and a robust understanding of structural design in marine environments.

Key responsibilities include project proposals, cost estimating, and engineering solutions for pipelines involving Natural Gas, H2, and CO2 designs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural or Mechanical engineering is required.
• Good understanding of structural design and marine environment.
• Previous work experience in the design of offshore pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline engineering, including Client Interfaces and comments resolution.
• Perform Pipeline Cost Estimating and FEA Analysis.
• Design and manage subsea power cables and project reports.

Job description

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Pipeline engineering, including Client Interfaces, Third Party Comments resolution
• Experience in Rigid and Flexible pipelines are considered
• Knowledge of pipeline design software such as SIMLA, OrcaFlex
• Natural Gas, H2 and CO2 pipeline design
• Pipeline Cost Estimating
• Pipeline FEA Analysis
• Subsea power cable design and management
• Mechanical and Installation Analysis / Design
• Landfall Design (for pipelines and cables)
• Project Report writing and presentations
• Support on Proposals / Tendering, preparation of CTRs (budgeting and estimation)

Qualification

• Master’s degree in Structural, Mechanical or a related field
• Good understanding of structural design and marine environment
• Previous work experience in design of offshore pipelines
• Good understanding of offshore pipeline mechanical design related disciplines, incl. associated standards (DNV, etc)
• Proficiency in using FEA tools, programming, and flare for exploring AI implementations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong oral and written skills in English
