Job summary

Qfyre TechLabs in Bengaluru/Hyderabad is seeking a hands-on senior Java engineer to own full lifecycle delivery of high-impact POS services. You will partner with business leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams, mentoring juniors and driving architectural decisions while delivering rapid, quality updates.

You will work across API, Android, and Web teams, ensure robust software design, and contribute to architectural roadmaps and best practices.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, logs, and Web Services (SOAP/XML/REST/JSON).
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD pipelines.

About This Role

A hands-on senior engineering role for a Java specialist who can operate confidently across the full development lifecycle. You will work closely with business leads, product owners, and cross-functional teams, delivering rapid, high-quality updates to business-critical POS services.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with functional business leads and technology partners to provide a high level of engineering service
• Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies as part of the Scrum team
• Work with the project team to define, break down, and estimate requirements
• Implement rapid updates to fulfil changing business and marketing requirements
• Create technical documentation, architectural designs, flow diagrams, implementation approaches, and pseudocode
• Create and maintain macro technical designs for POS service components
• Identify technical and delivery risks and form contingency plans proactively
• Deliver across the entire software lifecycle, concept, design, build, deploy, test, release, and support
• Collaborate with API, Android, and Web development teams on architectural vision and roadmap
• Guide and mentor junior engineers on best practices and engineering standards

What You Need to Succeed

• 6-9 years of Java/J2EE development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, Log4j, Web Services (SOAP/XML/REST/JSON)
• Experience with Oracle/H2 or equivalent relational databases
• Experience with Test Driven Development and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven cross-team collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
• Mentoring and technical guidance experience
