Contentstack is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to own the test strategy for Platform (Web and API) and drive automation across frontend and backend testing. You will design and maintain automation frameworks, create data fixtures, and integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

The role covers performance testing, data validation for analytics pipelines, and mentoring junior QA engineers while collaborating with developers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in test automation.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript based E2E frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.io.
• Experience designing an automation framework from scratch (page objects, fixtures, reporting).
• Strong knowledge of JSON and REST, and API test automation (Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Playwright API or similar).
• Experience in Load Testing with tools like JMeter, k6 or Locust.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and hands-on experience with Jenkins, GoCD or GitHub Actions.
• Experience in using Github and Git, including code reviews.
• Experience in bug reporting and test management tools (JIRA).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing lifecycle.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum; good SQL and data validation; logs/monitoring tools for root cause analysis.

Responsabilités

• Own the test strategy for Platform (Web and API) and decide what runs on PRs, nightly builds, and releases.
• Perform frontend and backend testing (Platform - Web, REST APIs, analytics, data pipelines).
• Design, build and maintain UI and API automation frameworks; develop shared page objects and test data.
• Add automated quality gates to CI/CD pipelines and fix flaky tests.
• Plan and run performance and load tests for APIs and data pipelines.
• Validate data correctness for analytics and metering pipelines.
• Build internal scripts to automate QA processes and data creation.
