Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Delhi is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site data center support across the region. You will install, commission, test and hand over equipment, and assist in preventative maintenance of Electrical Panels, UPS, Chillers and related systems.

Minimum 6+ years’ data center operation experience is required, with BE/B-Tech in Electrical Engineering. This is a site-based role with substantial on-site work and travel as needed; strong client communication and

• BE/B-Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience dealing with clients in a professional manner.
• Familiar with electrical panel testing and fault finding.
• Understanding of data center operational support equipment and protection devices.
• Good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety.
• Experience with client Factory Acceptance Tests / Site Acceptance Tests.
• Excellent communicator with willingness to travel and work extra hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of project site works on data center equipment – installation, commissioning, testing and handover to client.
• Assist in preventative maintenance for Electrical Panels/UPS/Chiller/PAC/PAHU etc panels.
• Assist in maintenance for 11KV/33KV sub-station with Transformer and DG sets.
• Improve data center efficiency (DCiE) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
• Create and review SOPs/EOP/MOP for equipment.
• Prepare site documentation and ensure test records are complete.
• Prepare tools and equipment for project/maintenance activities.

Brief Job Description:

The Field Service Engineer:

• Provide consistent quality and support to customers across the region.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

(This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)

• Assist Delivery of project site works on data center operational equipment's - Installation, commission, test and handover to client over multiple projects.
• Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance tasks for all aspects of Electrical Panel/UPS/Chiller/PAC/PAHU etc panels.
• Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance tasks for all aspects of 11KV/33KV sub-station with Transformer and DG set's.
• Improve data center efficiency (DCiE) and Power usage effectiveness (PUE).
• Create and review the technical Equipmentmen's SOP/EOP/MOP etc.
• Analysis and review the site specific Daily/Weekly/Monthly report.

• Preparation of all tools, test equipment and site documentation for project/maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in data center operation
• BE/B-Tech in Electrical Engineering discipline.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -

• Experience with dealing with clients/customers in a professional manner.
• Familiar with all aspects of electrical panel testing & fault finding.
• Understanding of data center operational support equipment and Protection devices.
• Good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety.
• Familiar with maintaining accurate and detailed completion of test documentation.
• Experience with Client Factory Acceptance Tests / Site Acceptance Tests.
• Excellent communicator.
• Fully flexible to work additional hours on request.
• This is a site-based role and majority of work time will be based on-site or travelling.
• Full driving license.

Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)

• A significant number of afterhours and weekend work, frequently scheduled with little notice.
• Travel on a daily basis to and from customer sites.
• Will be required to stay away from home or travel long distances.
• Occasional heavy lifting required.
• You will be expected to operate as part of a team.
• May be required to travel abroad from time to time.
• You will be supplied with a Company uniform, which must be warn at all times while working.
