Job summary

WSP India is seeking a drafting specialist focused on IT infrastructure and building technologies. You will design IT cabling, network and IMIT systems, ELV and security systems, and AV setups while aligning with client and internal standards.

Coordinate with project teams and Canadian designers to integrate concepts into drawing packages, using AutoCAD, Revit or BIM tools, with strong writing and reporting skills. Hybrid work model offered in Bengaluru offices.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with drafting and/or construction-related experience in electronics or electrical disciplines.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software; knowledge of MicroStation desirable.
• Strong report and specification writing; ability to interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Information Technology Infrastructure and Building Technologies systems design including IT cabling, network and IMIT systems.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and local designers to incorporate concepts into drawing packages.
• Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings to standards.
• Coordinate design drawings with other disciplines and maintain QA methodologies.
• Work as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
• Familiarity with Smart buildings, IT infrastructure, Security, AV and other building systems is an asset.
• Create and interpret technical documents including reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications.
