Job summary

WSP India is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support energy projects, including substation design, transmission lines, and energy storage systems. Qualifications

• Perform and oversee electrical power systems studies using ETAP, SKM, PSS/E, ASPEN and other software programs.
• Deliver accurate and thorough designs that meet industry standards and good engineering practice.
• Review internal and external designs for code compliance and constructability.
• Resolve site queries during construction.
• Maintain project documentation including completion packages and as-built data.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and manage commitments to project timelines.
• Maintain good relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Mentor and guide developing engineers in the department.
• Adhere to company policies and code of conduct; ethical decision-making.

Job description

This role is within WSP's Energy Business line and will support all types of Energy projects including renewable energy (wind, solar and energy storage), underground energy storage, and transmission and distribution substation and overlead lines projects.

The successful candidate is required to work within a multi-discipline team to design efficient and reliable electrical substations, transmission lines, and collection systems for T&D projects, renewable and energy storage projects, industrial facilities, data centers, O&G midstream facilities. The engineer will coordinate his/her design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion. The engineer will also assist the pursuits team in preparation of estimates and project proposals. This position is accountable to provide all design activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of WSP's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
