Job summary

Rakuten Symphony in Indore (onsite) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on cloud and platform experience. You will design and operate scalable cloud platforms, automate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliable production systems.

You should be proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and monitoring tools. Collaboration with product and security teams will be key as we advance our cloud-native telco platform.

• Build and operate reliable Cloud and Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Troubleshoot Production incidents and drive RCA to permanent resolution.

• Automate repetitive operational activities.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, security and cost efficiency.

• Maintain documentation/runbooks and eliminate single-person dependencies through knowledge sharing.

What Do We Expect From You

We are seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer with 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in production environments. The ideal candidate possesses a strong automation‑first mindset, expert troubleshooting capabilities, and proficiency with modern DevOps tooling and cloud‑native practices.

Key Requirements:

• Cloud: Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; networking, IAM, compute, storage, load balancing, and monitoring.

• Kubernetes & Containers: Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience; deployments, networking, storage/PVC, RBAC, Helm, troubleshooting, and Production operations.

• CI/CD & GitOps: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps; deployment automation, rollback, artifact management; Argo CD/GitOps preferred.

• Infrastructure as Code: Strong Terraform experience; modules, state management, reusable infrastructure. Ansible is a plus.

• Automation: Strong Python or Bash/Shell scripting with an automation-first mindset.

• Observability/SRE: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry or equivalent; metrics, logs, traces, alerting, SLI/SLO, incident management, and RCA.

• Linux & Networking: Strong Linux fundamentals; TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, VPN, load balancers, firewalls/security groups.

• Databases & Messaging: Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, Kafka, or equivalent technologies.

• DevSecOps: IAM/RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability/image scanning, TLS, SBOM, artifact security, and supply‑chain security.

• HA/DR: Understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backups, failover, and business continuity.

Modern Technology Exposure:

• AI-assisted DevOps:Using AI tools for automation, troubleshooting log analysis, documentation, and productivity.

• AI/LLM Infrastructure:Basic understanding of containerized AI workloads, model serving, inference, GPU/resource management, scalability, and cost.

• MLOps/LLMOps:Awareness of model deployment, versioning, pipelines, monitoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management.

• Platform Engineering:Internal Developer Platforms, self‑service infrastructure, reusable templates, GitOps, and developer experience.

• FinOps:Awareness of cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency.

• Deep ML expertise isnot mandatory; awareness and the ability to work with AI/ML teams is preferred.
