Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the Developer Experience Platform and Self-Service Automation team. You will design, build, and evolve scalable, secure solutions to boost developer productivity across the organization.

The role requires hands-on experience with .NET, Angular, TypeScript, Python, and cloud-hosted apps, plus Kubernetes/Docker and IaC practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end application development using .NET, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-hosted web, mobile, and microservice-based applications.
• Experience working with container orchestration platforms such as EKS or OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including services such as: EKS, IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git-based workflows, and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve cloud-native, full-stack solutions for internal developer platforms, self-service automation, and tooling.
• Contribute to solution design discussions, technical reviews, and architectural decisions under guidance from tech leads and architects.
• Write high-quality, secure, and maintainable code across web, API, and mobile platforms.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, PI Planning, and sprint execution.
• Collaborate with engineers, platform teams, cloud, security, and quality engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and handoffs in a multi-time-zone environment.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical demos, lunch-and-learn sessions, and office hours to share knowledge.
• Identify pain points and provide practical engineering solutions with partner teams.

Job Overview

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be a strong individual contributor on the Developer Experience Platform and Self-Service Automation team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and engineering effectiveness across the organization.

This role requires solid hands-on engineering skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, and active collaboration with peers, tech leads, and partner teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.

Technical Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end application development using .NET, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-hosted web, mobile, and microservice-based applications.
• Experience working with container orchestration platforms such as EKS or OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including services such as:

Responsibilities

Engineering & Development

Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native, full-stack solutions for internal developer platforms, self-service automation, and tooling.

Contribute to solution design discussions, technical reviews, and architectural decisions under the guidance of tech leads and architects.

Write high-quality, secure, and maintainable code across web, API, and mobile platforms.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, PI Planning, and sprint execution.

Work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Project Managers on estimations, deliverables, and milestone commitments.

Collaborate closely with engineers, platform teams, cloud, security, and quality engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Partner effectively with distributed engineering and platform teams across the U.S., ensuring alignment on design, delivery, and timelines. Coordinate cross-team dependencies and handoffs in a matrixed, multi-time-zone environment.

Developer Experience & Enablement

Contribute to code reviews, technical demos, lunch-and-learn sessions, and office hours to share knowledge and improve team practices.

Engage with partner teams and developer communities to understand pain points and provide practical engineering solutions.

Support adoption of platform standards, templates, and best practices.

Quality, Security & Operations

Implement unit tests, improve test coverage, and support automated testing strategies.

Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and performance issues.

Contribute to documentation including technical requirements, runbooks, release notes, and design documents.

Support platform reliability through participation in release, change, and incident processes.

Innovation & Automation

Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and developer self-service.

Contribute ideas that simplify workflows and enhance developer productivity across the enterprise.
