Albertsons India Capability Center in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Engineer Cloud to design, build, and operate scalable API platforms across Azure and GCP, with focus on APIM, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD. • 6 - 9 years

We are seeking a Senior Engineer Cloud to design, build, and operate scalable, secure API, Gateways and application platforms across Azure and GCP. The ideal candidate has deep experience with API Management, load balancing, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and cloud networking/security.

• Networking: Load Balancers, Application Gateway, F5 Big-IP
• Security: Firewalls, WAF, Network security principles
• DevOps: CI/CD, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible

What you will be doing:

APIM Administration and Support:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure API Management (APIM) solutions for internal and external APIs
• Configure and manage Load Balancers, Application Gateway, and F5 Big-IP for traffic management and high availability
• Develop and operate cloud-native services on AKS and GKE. Implement and manage
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and infrastructure automation.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting and cloud automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable secure API lifecycle management.
• Enforce security best practices using firewalls, WAFs, and network segmentation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform reliability and performance
• Drive platform improvements with automation and GitHub Copilot-assisted development

Main responsibilities:

What we are searching for:

• Retail and / or grocery industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Expert on load balancers / application gateways, any API management tool (Kong, Apigee or APIM)
• Expert on designing highly available and resilient cloud services networks with best security standards.
• Good knowledge in working with Kubernetes, YAML and Json.
• We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
• Overall 6+ years of experience in cloud Platform, Networks and API administration.
• Experience using CI/CD tools like GitHub actions, Terraform, Ansible and Containerization.
• Able to support high-priority production issues and bring closure and provide RCA & fix.

Business Acumen & Communication:

• Skilled at understanding business challenges and translating them into solutions that create measurable impact.
• Prior collaboration experience with business teams to ensure effective integration with business applications.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while seeking direction when necessary
