Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a smart embedded software engineer to join the Camera IoT SW team. You will design and develop drivers and software for cutting-edge cameras powering Connected Camera, Robotics, Drones, and Video Collaboration platforms.

You will work on imaging pipelines, MIPI protocols, and camera HALs, with C/C++ on Linux in a multinational, multi-time-zone environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of embedded software development experience
• Knowledge of MIPI Protocol, imaging sensors, and Serializer/Deserializer chips
• Experience with camera design, imaging module, subsystem pipeline and architecture
• Experience with imaging pipelines, Camera HALs, and frameworks like Android, V4L2
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ with object-oriented development
• Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications & frameworks
• Excellent OS fundamentals and knowledge of Linux low-level drivers
• Familiarity with source control tools (Git, Perforce)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Description

We are looking for a smart engineer to join our Camera IoT SW team. What We Need To See

• BS/MS (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of industry-related experience developing embedded software drivers or applications
• Knowledge of MIPI Protocol, Imaging Sensors, and Serializer/Deserializer chips
• Working Knowledge of camera design, imaging module, subsystem pipeline and architecture
• Experience working on Imaging pipelines, Camera HALs, and frameworks like Android, V4L2
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ with in-depth knowledge of object-oriented development
• Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications & frameworks
• Excellent OS fundamentals and knowledge of low-level drivers of Linux
• Familiarity with source control tools (git, Perforce, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Knowledge of ISP and Camera Tuning is a plus
• Experience in Pre-Silicon/Post-Silicon or Board bring up
• Flexibility to work and communicate optimally in a multinational, multi-time-zone corporate environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
