Deutsche Bank AG in Bangalore invites a Senior Backend Engineer to lead feature teams, design scalable components and deliver robust, well-tested software in production. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, BDD, and rapid prototype development across UI, services, and databases.

You will drive architecture discussions, ensure reliability, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement while working in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with AI-assisted spec-driven development is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot and Maven.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building APIs (GraphQL/REST) and microservices.
• Proficient with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Liquibase for migrations.
• Familiar with Domain-Driven Design, CQRS and Event Sourcing.
• Experience with SSL certificates, gateways and Apigee.
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban/XP).
• Automated testing experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the feature team and collaborate to design, implement and test solutions.
• Apply BDD techniques with users, analysts, developers and testers.
• Develop rapid prototypes and deliver robust software.
