Emerson seeks a procurement professional to manage direct materials and project requirements for the Power and Water Solutions Business. You will lead negotiations, drive cost optimization, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely supply and compliant procurement.

You will build strong supplier relationships, monitor spend, and produce MIS reports while adhering to policies and supporting project execution with global teams.

  • Handle procurement of direct materials and project requirements for Power and Water Solutions.
  • Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing, delivery, terms, and contracts.
  • Identify cost optimization initiatives via strategic sourcing, supplier development, and rate contracts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Planning, Finance, and Global Procurement for project success.
  • Prepare techno-commercial comparison statements and manage PO issuance in SharePoint.
  • Coordinate import docs like LC, ABG, PBG with Finance and Accounts.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, master data, performance, and timely payments.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Monitor procurement spend and generate MIS reports (spend, savings, cost avoidance).
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and audits.

  • Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors covering pricing, quality, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contractual agreements.

  • Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier development, rate contracts, and alternate vendor identification.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Projects, Planning, Finance, and Global Procurement teams to support business objectives and successful project execution.

  • Prepare techno-commercial comparison statements, obtain approvals in line with procurement policies, and ensure timely release and documentation of purchase orders in SharePoint.

  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounts teams for preparation and execution of commercial import documents such as LC, ABG, PBG, and related contractual documentation.

  • Manage vendor onboarding, vendor master data, supplier performance, issue resolution, and coordination of timely vendor payments.

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous supply of quality materials at competitive pricing and within required timelines.

  • Compliance & Ethics: Unwavering commitment to ethical procurement practices and strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Digital Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement tools, spend analytics, and Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


  • B.Tech with 8+ years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably within the Automation, Industrial, EPC, or Manufacturing industry. Experience in project procurement will be an added advantage

  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools is preferred.
