Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analog Design Engineer for its Consumer Audio team.

The role involves mixed-signal IC design, validation, and system debugging across silicon, embedded software, connectivity, and applications, collaborating with global teams to bring high-performance, low-power audio ICs to market. You will work on Class-D amplifiers, delta-sigma DACs/ADCs and more, with a focus on bringing products from concept to production and ensuring robust performance in hearables

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in CMOS IC design.
  • Experience in ADC/DAC design.
  • Experience in audio IC design.
  • Familiarity with Cadence schematic capture and SPICE tools.
  • Understanding of digital signal processing concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture investigation, design and verification of analog and mixed-signal blocks.
  • Understanding of high-gain amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, comparators, integrators, LDOs.
  • Collaboration with digital design and verification teams for block and system integration and verification at chip level.
  • Interface with product definition, applications and test to bring new products from concept to production.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot complex IC problems in the lab.

Job Description

The charter of Analog Devices’ Consumer Audio team is to develop cutting-edge products for hearables, hearing health, and prosumer audio markets. These mixed-signal audio edge processors combine precision audio, heterogeneous processing, power management, connectivity and algorithms to enable next-generation user experiences. In this role, you will contribute to product bring-up, validation, and system debug while building strong application expertise in audio products. You will work across silicon, embedded software, connectivity, and customer use cases, collaborating with global cross-functional teams to help bring innovative audio solutions to market. Analog Devices is seeking a Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join the Hearable and Wearable Business Unit to participate in analysis, research, design, simulation, characterization, and release-to-production of high-performance, low power, integrated circuits. The successful candidate will join a team with a track record of producing breakthrough innovative architectures for Class-D amplifiers and delta-sigma DAC’s and ADC’s, to name a few. The successful candidate must have a strong, intuitive capability in solving complex challenges. The candidate will be self-motivated and be able to work effectively within a team.

Education: B.Tech/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in CMOS IC design

Responsibilities
  • Architecture investigation, design and verification of analog and mixed-signal blocks
  • Understanding of a wide range of circuits such as high-gain amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, comparators, integrators, precision voltage references, LDOs
  • Collaboration with digital design and design verification teams for block and system integration and verification at chip level
  • Interface with product definition, product, applications, and test, engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in ADC/DAC design
  • Experience in audio IC design with a passion for audio
  • Experience inCadence schematic capture and SPICEsimulation tools
  • Experience with MATLAB or other modeling tools, and specifically their application to delta sigma modulator design
  • Understanding of digital signal processing concepts
