Job summary

Aptiv Bengaluru is seeking experienced engineers to join the ADAS SW Engineering team, developing cutting-edge driver assistance algorithms in C++ for safe mobility.

You will collaborate with systems engineers, define requirements, run simulations, perform tests, and contribute to DFMEAs while aligning with the product roadmap. This role offers exposure to automotive radar, vision and sensor fusion in a global company. You will be expected to act with ownership and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in CS/Mechatronics/EE/Robotics or related field.
• Experience with state estimation and advanced filtering.
• 4+ years of programming in C++ for algorithms.
• Strong background in control theory & systems design.
• Excellent data extraction and analysis (MATLAB, Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test ADAS algorithms using C++.

Your role

• Design, simulate, implement, and test ADAS algorithms using C++.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to support the creation and break-down of requirements and test cases.
• Develop technical specifications and DFMEAs.
• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure proper feature functionality.
• Proactively identify and contribute to changes that help the product progress along its roadmap.
• Analyse defects and test results to ensure KPI achievement by root causing the issues and designing algorithm improvements.
• Work with colleagues and customers to develop and implement enhancements to address real-world performance issues.
• Complete assigned individual and team tasks.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related technical field.
• Experience with State Estimation and advanced filtering methods.
• 4+ years of programming experience in development and testing of algorithms in C++
• Strong background in control theory & systems design
• Excellent data extraction & analysis skills (MATLAB, Excel)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of ownership for your assigned tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Batchelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related technical field.
• 6+ years of programming experience in development and testing of algorithms in: C++.
• Appropriate and optimized use of AI Tools for overall efficiency of your workflow.
• Superior communication & presentation skills
• Background in automotive radar, vision, lidar, sensor fusion, working knowledge of ADAS.
• ISO 26262 / Functional Safety functional expertise
