Job summary

Micron Technology in Hyderabad seeks a modeling engineer with 5+ years of experience in predictive structure modeling. You will develop models for DRAM/NAND nodes, collaborate with design and process teams, and build AI-powered tools for engineering workflows. A Ph.D.

in a related field is preferred, with strong communication and remote collaboration skills. You will work in a multi-disciplinary AMAIS group, reporting results to engineers and leaders, and contributing to silicon deployment

• Experience in computational geometry and numerical modeling.
• Familiarity with semiconductor process integration is desirable.

• Familiarity with thermo-mechanical modeling and FEA tools.
• Experience writing reports and conference papers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong teamwork and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

In the Technology - Advanced Modeling and AI Solutions (AMAIS) Group in Hyderabad, you will work in a multi-functional team of engineers highly skilled in the modeling of process, equipment, structures, and materials.

This team's primary responsibility is to support and enable solutions to Micron's most significant challenges in Memory development and manufacturing.

Your role will be to work on a project that directly supports one of our group's critical programs. This project will involve materials or structure or process modeling. You are expected to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment developing models and reporting results to the AMAIS team and collaborating with them on next steps. This position seeks individuals that can code, implement, and utilize numerical models.

You will interact with process engineers and development teams to identify questions and issues hindering the node development milestones. Additionally, you will create software programs, algorithms, and computational modeling tools to extract concrete insights from modeling and data. You will interpret and convey these insights and findings from models and experiments to engineering teams and leaders.

You will be responsible for predictive structure modeling across multiple DRAM and NAND nodes. The modeling engineer will collaborate extensively with product design and process teams for structure model development, deployment, and providing solutions to be implemented on Silicon.

Qualifications

• Independence - be comfortable executing activities and needs
• Advanced skills in level set method (LSM) for CAD, meshing, DOE, analysis, rendering
• Experience in computational geometry, virtual structure modeling, numerical methods and scientific computing
• Experience in some of these tools: Abaqus, ANSYS, Victory Process, SPX, SEM3D
• Familiarity with semiconductor process integration is desirable
• Strong background in Industrial Design / CAD / Production and Engineering Design
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning concepts and applications
• Familiarity with FEA tools, thermo-mechanical modeling
• Experience with reports and presentations customized for users and leaders
• Outstanding teamwork and experience with remote collaboration tools
• Strong debug and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing reports and conference papers
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for engineering workflow and modeling

Experience : 5+ years of modeling

Education : Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
