Job summary

ABB Bangalore is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead automation and control system projects in Energy Industries. You will design, implement, test, and commission DCS-based solutions, provide technical leadership to project teams, and ensure alignment with safety standards.

The role requires 8–10 years in Process Automation, ICSS experience, familiarity with IEC standards, and willingness to travel internationally up to 40–50%.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Process Automation within Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, or Batch industries with hands-on ICSS experience.
• Strong knowledge of control system architecture, DCS engineering, graphics engineering, and IEC standards.
• Experience with field instrumentation and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, OPC UA, IEC 61850, IEC 104).
• Ability to interpret engineering documents (P&IDs, FDS, I/O lists) and travel internationally up to 40–50%.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation and control system projects (control logic development, HMI configuration, testing, commissioning, site acceptance).
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables (design specs, documentation, test procedures, BOMs).
• Provide technical leadership to project teams, conduct design reviews, and manage risks and customer satisfaction.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting with customers and maintain strong relationships.
• Contribute to proposals and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution.
