Job summary

Navgathi Panavally Shipyard in Cherthala (Panavally) seeks a Senior Supervisor – Electrical to lead electrical supervision of vessel projects. You will review drawings, supervise cable laying and terminations, and coordinate maintenance and safety on-site.

You will guide subcontractors, maintain records, and participate in production meetings to align with timelines. Strong leadership, 7+ years in shipbuilding electrical work, and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical supervision, preferably in shipbuilding or electrical industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, cable installations, and termination methods.
• Able to read, interpret, and correct electrical drawings.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair of electrical systems and switchboards.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and on-site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct production electrical drawings; prepare feasibility reports for electrical aspects of projects.
• Monitor conduit and cable laying in vessels to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise installation and termination of electrical systems in vessels; ensure proper fit-up and connections.
• Perform routine and urgent maintenance on board vessels; repair electrical equipment and switchboards in the yard.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for planning and issue work completion certificates; maintain vessel electrical work records.
