Job summary

Lead electrical engineering for Kimbal's BESS products, owning the end-to-end electrical design of high-voltage systems, power electronics, and grid integration. This senior role drives the design of DC buses, protection schemes, and cabling, ensuring safe, compliant, and scalable storage solutions.

Required are strong HV design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical/ETAP/SKM, and degrees in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong background in HV electrical design for power/energy systems.
• Experience with power electronics, PCS/inverter selection, and grid integration.
• Proficiency in electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM).
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, UL, and IEC electrical standards.
• Understanding of grounding, isolation, and arc flash safety.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design high-voltage electrical systems for BESS (DC bus, switchgear, protection).
• Specify power conversion systems (PCS), inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Design circuit protection schemes (fuses, breakers, contactors, ground fault detection).
• Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and cable routing plans.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE 1547, UL 1741, and grid interconnection standards.
• Support system-level testing, commissioning, and grid integration.

Lead electrical engineering for Kimbal's BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) products - designing high-voltage electrical systems, power electronics, circuit protection, gridintegration, and wiring/harness design. This is a senior role owning the electrical design of the product end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-voltage electrical systems for BESS (DC bus, switchgear, protection)
• Specify power conversion systems (PCS), inverters, transformers, and switchgear
• Design circuit protection schemes (fuses, breakers, contactors, ground faultdetection)
• Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and cable routing plans
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE 1547, UL 1741, and grid interconnection standards
• Support system-level testing, commissioning, and grid integration

Job Requirements
