Role Summary

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are Looking for Senior Director AI, Data & Solutions talent to join our Digital and Technology team.

The Senior Director, AI, Data & Solutions will provide strategic leadership for Regenerons enterprise AI, Data, and Digital Solutions organization. This role will be responsible for shaping and implementing the enterprise AI and data strategy, building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering entrepreneurial AI, analytics, and digital solutions that create measurable business and scientific value.

This position requires strong enterprise technology leadership, deep AI/ML and data platform expertise, experience with cloud-native architecture, and the ability to partner with executive stakeholders to drive responsible, scalable, and secure adoption of AI and data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI, Machine Learning, and Data strategy aligned with enterprise priorities across research, development, manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions.
• Serve as an enterprise leader and advocate for AI, analytics, and advanced digital solutions, translating emerging technologies into measurable business and scientific outcomes.
• Accelerate the adoption of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and advanced computational capabilities to support scientific discovery, clinical development, and operational excellence.
• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native AI and data platforms that enable self-service analytics, governed data access, and rapid deployment of AI solutions.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape technology and business strategy while providing trusted guidance on AI and data investments.
• Lead executive communications, strategic briefings, and governance forums that provide insights into portfolio performance, business impact, and future opportunities.
• Build, mentor, and inspire diverse teams of AI/ML scientists, data engineers, analytics professionals, and solution architects.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and responsible use of AI and data technologies.
• Establish strong operating models, communities of practice, and talent development programs to support long-term organizational growth and capability building.
• Supervise end-to-end delivery of AI, Data, and Digital Solutions programs from concept through implementation and value realization.
• Define and implement delivery standards, engineering practices, and operating methodologies including Agile, MLOps, and DataOps.
• Establish targets and performance metrics to measure solution adoption, operational performance, platform effectiveness, and business outcomes.
• Lead enterprise data governance, architecture, quality, security, scalability, and compliance initiatives across data and AI platforms.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies, optimizing investment portfolios, and seeing opportunities to create enterprise value through AI and data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of progressive experience in AI, Data Analytics, Digital Engineering, advanced computational technologies, or related enterprise technology domains.
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale teams, senior managers, and multidisciplinary technology groups within sophisticated global organizations.
• Proven experience developing and accomplishing enterprise AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Digital Solutions strategies.
• Demonstrated success delivering AI and data platforms and solutions from strategy through production deployment and business value realization.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies including Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Agentic Systems, and MLOps platforms.
• Strong experience with cloud-native data platforms and modern data architecture patterns across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Expertise in enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, regulatory compliance, and secure data access practices.
• Broad technology acuity across data engineering, solution architecture, infrastructure, information security, and API-based integrations.
• Strong experience defining delivery standards and operating methodologies such as Agile, MLOps, DataOps, and engineering standard processes.
• Exceptional critical thinking, executive presence, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership capabilities.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience such as Masters or PhD in AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience working with GxP-regulated environments and healthcare data regulations.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Machine Learning certifications, PMP, SAFe, CDMP, or related credentials.
• Proven track record of converting emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Ability to influence senior collaborators and lead sophisticated digital transformation programs across global organizations.
