Job summary

Ralph Lauren Corporation in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Senior Digital Developer to implement Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Composable Commerce across regions. You will build backend solutions, integrate APIs, and support multi-site, multi-locale deployments with a headless architecture.

You'll work with global teams, focus on SFRA and SiteGenesis, OCAPI/SCAPI, REST APIs, and frontend integration using modern JS frameworks.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on SFCC backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and SFCC workflows.
• Hands-on with SFRA and Site Genesis.

• REST API integration and data formats (JSON).

Position Purpose and Scope

This role will be based in Bangalore, India. Ralph Lauren is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Developer to support the implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Composable Commerce solutions across multiple regions. The position will work closely with global teams to develop and maintain scalable E-commerce platform solutions, with a strong focus on SFCC backend development, API development and system integrations. The position requires strong hands-on experience with SFRA and SiteGenesis, JavaScript, OCAPI, SCAPI and REST APIs, along with an understanding of headless and API-based commerce architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• Develop and customize SFCC applications using SFRA and/or Site Genesis, including cartridges, controllers, scripts, hooks, jobs and services.
• Develop and integrate OCAPI, SCAPI and Custom APIs to support web and API-based commerce experiences.
• Develop and maintain integrations between SFCC and third-party or enterprise systems using REST APIs and web services.
• Develop and enhance commerce capabilities across product, catalog, pricing, promotions, search, customer, cart, checkout and order management.
• Develop and support multi-site, multi-region and multi-locale SFCC implementations, ensuring solutions are scalable and reusable.
• Work with SLAS and API authentication as required for commerce applications and integrations.
• Apply caching and performance optimization techniques to build scalable and reliable commerce solutions.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, architects, product managers and integration teams to ensure effective backend and API solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code following development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization and production issue resolution.
• Contribute to headless and composable commerce initiatives and API-first solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) backend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with SFRA and/or Site Genesis.
• Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI and SFCC Custom APIs.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON and API integration patterns.
• Experience with SFCC Business Manager, Controllers, Hooks, Services, Jobs, Custom Objects and Site Preferences.
• Experience integrating SFCC with third-party systems and enterprise applications.
• Understanding of SLAS, OAuth and authentication/authorization.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and jQuery.
• Working knowledge of React.js and modern frontend development concepts.
• Understanding of headless and API-based commerce architectures.
• Experience with caching, performance optimization and scalable commerce solutions.
• Experience supporting multi-site, multi-region and multi-locale SFCC implementations.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)

• Experience with Node.js, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Understanding of Composable Commerce architectures, with experience working with HarperDB and/or cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms.
• Knowledge of Datadog, Dynatrace or similar application monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with middleware and API integration platforms.
• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer certification.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing practices.
