Dsstream is seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to build an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) for AI workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine. You will design, automate, and scale cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable integration of AI workloads.

You will manage GKE environments, implement GitOps with FluxCD, and develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. Strong GCP networking/security skills and Python/Docker automation are essential.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our project team. In this role, you will be responsible for building an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) tailored for AI applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). You will work closely with development and AI teams to design, automate, and scale cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and seamless integration of AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to streamline AI application deployments.
• Manage and scale advanced Kubernetes (GKE) environments, including debugging Istio/Cilium, Kyverno policies, and Gateway API.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform and manage environments via a strict GitOps approach using FluxCD.
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Configure and manage advanced GCP networking and security components (PSC, VPC, Cloud Interconnect, IAP, Workload Identity Federation).
• Integrate containerized workloads running on GKE with Google's Vertex AI services.
• Develop automation tools and platform components using Python and Docker.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency with 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its networking/security primitives.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (GKE) and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
• Proven experience with the GitOps methodology and tools, specifically FluxCD.
• Strong background in writing Terraform modules and managing infrastructure as code at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in writing clean automation scripts and managing containers with Python and Docker.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Data/ML environments (e.g., Databricks, Vertex AI pipelines).
• Deep understanding of Service Mesh architectures (Istio) and eBPF-based networking (Cilium).
• Cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKS).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
