Bounteous is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer – GCP to join its Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team in India. You will design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and drive IaC and Kubernetes platform engineering for reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer – GCP to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, automating, and managing cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure while driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes platform engineering, CI/CD automation, and cloud governance initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with development, security, and platform engineering teams to enable reliable software delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification
• Experience implementing GitOps using Argo CD or Flux
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio
• Experience with cloud networking, hybrid cloud, or multi‑cloud environments
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices
• Experience with policy-as-code tools such as Open Policy Agent (OPA)
• Strong cloud infrastructure architecture and engineering expertise
• Passion for automation and operational excellence
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
