Job summary

Abacus Insights is seeking a DevOps engineer to strengthen our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. You will work across AWS and Azure, implement IaC with Terraform, and manage Docker/Kubernetes environments to ensure reliable, scalable delivery.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams, adopting best practices for monitoring and security. A strong Linux background and scripting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of development experience with moderately complex systems.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge.
• Hands-on CI/CD with GitLab/Jenkins/Travis.
• Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Bash and Python; Terraform for IaC.
• Ability to design scalable, secure infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant cloud infra on AWS and Azure.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure cloud infra with high availability.
• Contribute to DevOps architecture and CI/CD guidance.

About The Role

The DevOps Team focuses on improving the telemetry and availability of Abacus' product offerings while contributing to the sustainability of engineering practices across the organization. As the "engineers behind the engineers," we handle a diverse set of tasks from across the DevOps spectrum. In this role, you will work in many contexts, using a variety of tools and technologies to remove obstacles and keep the engineering organization moving efficiently and effectively. We are a small, nimble team making an outsized impact.

Your day to day

• Build and maintain secure, scalable, HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant infrastructure on multiple cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to DevOps architecture best practices and support the direction for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to design robust infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Python-based scripts to automate testing, validation, and deployment workflows.
• Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, and self-hosted).
• Implement monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Support the design, implementation, and adoption of our custom Python- and cloud-based deployment platform with an eye toward continuous delivery.
• Promote best practices within the team and across the organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Continuously improve automation, monitoring, and security practices.
• Support and share knowledge with team members on DevOps best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our architecture.

What You Bring To The Team

• 4+ years of development experience, including design of moderately complex systems.
• Solid cloud experience (AWS preferred).
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience implementing CI/CD systems using platforms like GitLab, Jenkins, or Travis.
• Experience with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Terraform).
• Knowledge of best practices for building efficient, maintainable, testable, and portable applications.
• Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• A team‑first attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Agentic AI capabilities, MCP configuration, GenAI / LLM deployment experience

Work arrangements

• Standard hours: 9 hours/day, 5 days/week
• Location: Mysore/Pune
• Shift: Your standard working hours will be nine (9) hours per day within the Company’s standard working hours. Specific working hours may vary based on business needs.
